I love public art!

For some reason, “having a pee” is an essential part of the history of fountain making. If you look at fountains from around the world and across time periods, you’ll inevitably find dozens of examples of cherubic boys shooting water out of their Johnsons. Why? I don’t know; they didn’t have TikTok or nitrous back in the day, so I’d imagine this was the funniest thing they could come up with.

Over in Oslo, however, they do things a little differently. Rather than featuring men and boys peeing, Fideicommissum is an art piece that shows a woman taking a leak. That’s progress!
